Physics

Welcome to AP Physics 1, the course that attempts to understand why an apple fell on Newton's Head. To begin, please scroll down & learn the content. I hope you keep your Sanity! Good Luck.

science

Unit #1: Kinematics

Kinematics is the study of motion (or the rate of change of an object), which includes the consideration of various vectors, such as Displacement, velocity, and Acceleration. It also studies graphs of motion, including position-time,velocity-time graphs, & acceleration-time graph. Fun Fact: Acceleration per seconds is called Jerk. The rate of Velocity vs time graph represents the acceleration, and the area under the curve represents position. The acceleration due to gravity is 9.81 m/s^2. Some commonly used formulas are mentioned above in the sheet.

Unit #2: Dynamics

Dynamics is the study of forces and their effects on motion. In this unit, one learns about Newton's laws of motion and how they relate to the study of dynamics. In addtion to different types of forces, including gravitational, frictional, and normal forces, and how to use free-body diagrams to represent and analyze the forces acting on an object. Finally, learning about the concept of work and energy, and how they relate to the study of dynamics.

science

Unit #3: Circular Motion and Dynamics

Circular motion and gravitation are two important topics in the study of physics. In this unit, one learns about the characteristics of circular motion, including centripetal force and acceleration. They also learn about the laws of gravitation, and how to use these laws to analyze the motion of objects under the influence of gravity. Additionally, students learn about Kepler's laws of planetary motion and how they relate to the study of gravitation.

Unit #4: Work and Energy

In this unit, one will study the quantity of motion in a system. In addition to learning about momentum, which is the product of an object's mass and velocity. Finally will also study the conservation of momentum, as well as collisions and impulse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Coet3fKr0E

science

Unit #5: Momentum and Impulse

This unit focuses on circular motion and gravity. Students will study circular motion principles, such as centripetal force and acceleration. They will also learn about the gravitational force, as well as Kepler's laws of planetary motion.

science

Unit #6: Simple Harmonic Motion

In this unit, one will study oscillations and vibrations. They will learn about springs and Hooke's law, which describes the relationship between the force exerted by a spring and the displacement of the spring. Finally will also study pendulums and waves. youtube.com/watch?v=3yU9EX1bvsk

science

Unit #7: Torque and Rotational Motion

This unit focuses on the study of waves and how they interact with matter. One will learn about different types of waves, including transverse and longitudinal waves. They will also study wave properties, such as frequency, amplitude, and wavelength. Finally, one will study sound waves and the properties of sound. youtube.com/watch?v=x_8QwX-KW9Y
